Anecdotally of the sardine which filled the port of Marseille.

It's in 1780, that a baptized frigate Sartine, name of the Marine Secretary  de Louis XVI, runs aground in the entrance of the Vieux-port of Marseille having wiped off Portugal a salvo of standard pulled by an English ship. This story, considering the name and considering the size of the boat, went very fast around Marseille and transformed this story in the purest Phocaean tradition, giving birth to the very famous story from Marseille, that of the sardine which filled the Vieux-port.

A BIG sardine!!!!!!

This attractive box contains itself 4 boxes of: sardines with pastis, "Pescadou" sardines, sardines with extra virgin oil and small sardines "pitchounettes".

Made in France.
